So the first day of a trial can be a very stressful and very exciting process. That’s where you confirm who your judge is going to be. You meet the people who are going to be on your jury, and you get your first opportunity to tell the jurors that are going to be deciding your case what it is that happened. You get to tell those people your story. It’s a hugely rewarding day, and if done right, it really sets the tone for what the other side is going to have to confront. It’s also your opportunity to be introduced to the jury who has the ultimate decision-making responsibility for justice in your case.
