Meet Margot Cutter, Partner at Cutter Law P.C.

Video Transcript

I’m Margot Cutter. I’m a partner here at Cutter Law. I went to college in Colorado, and I majored in psychology, and that’s when I really started to think that I might be interested in juries and jury dynamics and the psychology of juries. So, I’ve been at Cutter Law first as a law clerk. I joined in 2013, and I clerked here throughout law school, and then, when I graduated law school in 2015, I came and joined my dad at the firm.

My areas of practice are all civil litigation, so everything that we do at our firm is civil litigation, meaning we don’t do any criminal work, and we’re always involved in actual litigation in cases that can go to court and trial. And then, specifically, I work on personal injury cases. I do medical malpractice cases, class action cases, and sometimes I help my husband, Tom, with nursing home cases.

Working at Cutter Law is really so special because I have the pleasure of working with my dad, my sister, my husband, and some of my best friends from law school. In addition to people who are actually my family, many of the support staff here have been here for many years, and they come to feel like family. So, we have a really collegial, close-knit environment, and I just really love coming to work every day with my friends and family.

Clients should choose Cutter Law because we work as a team, and we work diligently to make sure that we know our clients personally. And that depth of relationship allows us to deepen our clients’ stories that we share with the jury and insurance companies and gives us a unique perspective on their cases that many firms—you know, if a firm is handling a huge docket of many cases, they might not know someone in the way that we strive to know our clients. And I think that’s what really sets our firm apart from others.
