The first thing you want to do, of course, at the scene is get the information from the other driver. Document the scene with photographs. If it’s significant damage to the vehicle and you’re hurt, you want to make sure the police are called so they can also document the scene and complete a report about the incident. That will be very important to establishing what happened and the fact that it was the other driver’s fault.
