DON’T Admit Fault—Even Indirectly

Video Transcript

Some of the things not to do is, you know, if you’re in an accident, don’t just jump out of the car in the middle of traffic uh so you can get a picture.

Stay in the car until you’re certain you’re safe. It’s chaotic and dangerous at an accident scene, often, and your number one concern should be you and your loved ones, even over preserving evidence. So, make sure you stay safe.

Don’t make any admission about fault at the scene. Obviously, if the police are there and you choose to give a statement, make sure that you present your accurate view of what happened. Don’t be bullied or led into making a statement that doesn’t actually mean what you mean it to say.
