What Happens if the Other Driver’s Insurance Denied Your Claim?

Sometimes people come to us, and they say, “It was the other driver’s fault, but their insurance company is refusing to compensate me.”

It’s not uncommon that the insurance company will take a position that is contrary to the actual evidence.

Whether their insured is telling them lies about what happened in the accident, or they just want to dispute what we call ‘liability’—what happened—we encounter that.

You may have been proceeding with the right of way, and somebody makes a left turn in front of you, and they claim, “Well, I had a green light.” But you had the green light to go through the intersection.

It’s not uncommon. We see insurance companies deny liability, and it’s something we’re accustomed to dealing with and ultimately making them pay.
