Many apps are operating in California purporting to be sports daily fantasy apps. But, in fact, they’re actually sports betting apps.
In California, gambling is illegal, including sports betting. So, Cutter Law and other law firms are bringing forward these class action claims, saying that people who used these Daily Fantasy and other apps should receive their money back because companies operated illegally by offering gambling products without telling consumers that they were engaging in an illegal enterprise.
